LifeSharers Members Newsletter
As of June 30, 2015:
• LifeSharers has 15,679 members. We have members in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico.
• 145 LifeSharers members are on the United Network for Organ Sharing’s
transplant waiting list. Of these, 134 have qualified for preferred access to the
organs of fellow LifeSharers members. Members are eligible for preferred access
180 days after joining LifeSharers.
Please tell your friends, family, neighbors, and colleagues about LifeSharers.
Every new member decreases the chance you’ll die waiting for an organ.
LifeSharers membership is free and open to all at http://www.lifesharers.org or by
calling 1-888-ORGAN88. There is no age limit, parents can enroll their minor
children, and no one is excluded due to any pre-existing medical condition.
State pushes for more organ donors fall flat (so maybe pay big bucks?)

If you are a LifeSharers member, please paste the next two paragraphs in the "Story" box on the "Registered as an Organ Donor" page
on your Facebook timeline:
In the hope that I may help others, I hereby make this anatomical gift, if medically acceptable, to take effect upon my death.
The words and marks below indicate my desire. I give: any needed organ for the purpose of transplantation or therapy. Limitations
or special wishes: For purposes of transplantation and therapy, it is my express wish that my organs be donated first to members
of the LifeSharers network, unless no LifeSharers member is a suitable match. For each part of my body donated, I designate as
donee that LifeSharers member who is the most suitable match as defined by the criteria in use by LifeSharers at the time of my
death. I retain the right to donate my organs to members of my family. For names of LifeSharers members who need my organs call
1-888-ORGAN88 or 1-888-674-2688.
I registered to be an organ donor through the LifeSharers donor registry, which operates in all 50 states, D.C., and Puerto Rico.
LifeSharers members get preferred access to the organs of other members. You can register for free at www.lifesharers.org. By joining
LifeSharers you will increase your chances of getting an organ transplant if you ever need one. By offering your organs first to
other registered organ donors you will help create an incentive for non-donors to sign up to donate.
